Whipple advances to General Election

In the nine-way primary, Brandon Whipple advanced to November's General Election to be Wichita's next mayor.

Whipple focused on improving community safety and transparency at City Hall, promising to end a culture of corruption at Wichita's City Hall that places rich insiders over needs and wishes of Wichita's taxpayers. "We’re here for the rest of Wichita, not just the richest areas," said Whipple.

“Currently, City Hall is run by connected insiders who do not spend enough time listening to the people who elected them,” Whipple wrote. “Big decisions are being made behind closed doors without public input. If we want to compete with our sister cities like Tulsa and Oklahoma City, we need innovative leadership willing to talk to the people and put their ideas into action.”
